The Museum of Writing (Musec) is supported by two complementary bodies:

a Scientific Committee, which ensures the intellectual rigour and cultural richness of the project,

and a Steering Committee, responsible for coordinating and supporting its implementation.

These two committees bring together leading figures from the scientific, artistic, institutional and cultural worlds, united by a shared ambition: to make Musec a place for discovering and sharing the world’s written heritage.

The Scientific Committee

This brings together recognised experts from a variety of fields — archaeology, linguistics, anthropology, philosophy, the arts and cognitive sciences.
It is responsible for guiding the scientific policy of the Village Museum, with the aim of making it not only an exhibition space but also a centre for the interpretation of writing, by providing rigorous scientific insight into the museum’s content, its exhibitions, its cultural outreach and its research partnerships.

A Steering Committee

This comprises representatives from partner organisations, elected officials, journalists and stakeholders from heritage and cultural sectors.
Their role is to ensure the coordination of activities, the consistency of policy, and the museum’s influence across the region.
